Splurge on: Ankle booties

As Lucky magazine mentioned recently, ankle booties are the best way to transition your summer dresses into the fall. Especially if you live in the south where it is still blazing hot in October, but you are yearning to switch over to autumn style.

Since I wasn't psyched on the price range of Lucky's choices, I figured I'd pick a few more affordable styles of my own.

1. Necessary Clothing Reba Booties in Black, $44.99
2. Charlotte Russe Perforated Low-heel Western Bootie, $38.50
3. Forever 21 Fringe Western-style Bootie, $36.80
4. Charlotte Russe Wrapper Buckle Ankle Bootie, $35.50
5. Merona® Molly Shootie in Black, $32.99

Wow I would not have guessed the prices on these babies, especially the white booties. Nice choices, and I agree with lucky about boots being a great transitional item. I always wore them throughout the summer with dresses because honestly I think they're more comfortable than typical summer shoes like sandal that can leave your feet all cut up.

I agree! Booties are such a great way to transition to fall, and I SO need a good pair! I love the affordable prices here (definitely splurging to me, haha, but still reasonable!) vs Lucky's prices. It makes me cringe sometimes to see what they call affordable! :)

These booties are adorable, I would wear them all! I am totally inept at styling them though; I have about seven pairs of ankle boots that never get worn because I don't know how to style them :S
